11 Eyes Game Gets Original Video Anime Green-Lit - Anime News

Earlier this month, the city of Kobe began streaming a four-minute promotional tourism anime short that was created by independent animator Junichi Yamamoto. The "Kobe to Watashi" ("Kobe and I"/"Kobe and Ai") short is streaming with English subtitles on the Kobe City Channel on the YouTube website, as well as on the city's own site. The anime will also be shown on the giant Space Theater Harborvision screen in the Kobe Harborland shopping district and at Japan's pavilion at the Expo 2010 Shanghai China event.

The short follows a college student named Ai-chan as she wanders aimlessly around Kobe. An unusual figure appears to help guide her around the city. Yamamoto directed, wrote, and animated the short himself, and famed veteran voice actor Akira Kamiya makes a special guest appearance.

Yamato won the highest award in the 14th Animation Kobe Digital Creators' Contest last year. Yamamoto had created a "memory" short that was nominated for 2009's YouTube Video Awards.

The official website for the anime adaptation of Lass' 11eyes -Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shojo- fantasy adult computer game has announced on Wednesday that a new original video anime (OVA) project has been green-lit in addition to the television anime. The "forbidden" OVA will have different content from the recent television anime (which just ended on Tuesday) and will ship on June 25 on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.

The new OVA will feature the characters Yuka, Misuzu, Yukiko, Kukuri, and Shiori. The original game centered on Kakeru Satsuki, a boy who has been mourning the loss of his last remaining family member, his older sister, for the past five years. Satsuki, his childhood friend Yuka Minase, and four other humans are suddenly transported to the world of "Red Night," where a giant black moon hangs over the skies. The six can only return home after dealing with Ralva and the six Black Knights of this alternate world.
