2nd Live-Action 20th Century Boys Film Trailer Posted - Anime News
Retelling of Naoki Urasawa's suspense manga to open in Japan on January 31.
The official Japanese website for Yukihiko Tsutsumi's live-action film trilogy adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys manga officially posted a trailer for the second film last week. In the story of 20th Century Boys, a man realizes that calamities cropping up around the world have eerie similarities to idle plans he and his childhood friends made decades ago. The second film, 20 Seiki Shonen Dai-2-Sho: Saigo no Kibo (Twentieth Century Boys Chapter II: The Last Hope), will open in Japan on January 31.
Paris hosted the first film's world premiere in August, and the first film opened in Japan at the end of that month. Urasawa launched his new Billy Bat manga in Kodansha's Morning magazine in October, while Viz Media will release Urasawa's 20th Century Boys and Pluto manga in North America in February next year.
