2nd Tamagotchi Feature Film's Commercial Streamed - Anime News
December 20 film to feature idol trio Pabo on "Green Flash Densetsu" theme song.
The official Japanese website for the animated movies based on Bandai's Tamagotchi virtual pets has begun streaming a commercial for the second feature film, Eiga! Tamagotchi Uchu Ichi Happy na Monogatari!?, on Wednesday. The story begins when the main character Mametchi and his friends discover a mysterious book in their school's levitating library. When one of their own gets transported to another world, the rest have to mount a rescue. The new commercial features the "Green Flash Densetsu" ("The Green Flash Legend") theme song by the idol trio Pabo. The website also posted four videos of the Pabo members answering questions about their reactions when they were chosen to sing the theme song and their thoughts on Tamagotchi in general.
The film will open in Japan on December 20. The first full-length feature, Eiga de Tojo! Tamagotchi Doki Doki! Uchu no Maigotchi!?, opened on December 15 of last year, and Bandai Entertainment announced last May that it had licensed the first film for North America.
