Anime Review:

The series is composed of multiple quest like episodes where the crew is given a task to accomplish. There is a nice flow of the episodes as the development from one episode helps the upcoming episodes. The series is packed with lots of enjoyable explosions and gun fights that help keep the series interesting.

From an animation point of view , it has nice style, the firefights are really cool as the characters do a lot of amazing tricks. Character style is pretty good, animation is also pretty nice.

The music to this show is very interesting, and is a fast paced song, with a really slow ED that seems to drag down the mood of the series. The soundtrack for this series is okay. The seiyuus are really good, their voices really help their personalities and the way they are presented.

The real standout in this show are the characters. The characters are very likeable. You expect some characters to be annoying in the beginning, but they never are, which is really suprising. There is lots of character development that make their actions understandable, which prevents them from getting irritable. Bewarned the majority of characters in this show are very out there, and are not there mentally, in which makes for lots of fun and enjoyment.

Overall this series is a party series as there are multiple exciting and outrageous fights that are just exhilarating. This is one of the better "bad guy" series out there. There is lots of time devoted to the characters, while there is lots of action surrounding those moments that give story and action at the same time.

Grade: B (plus) - Black Lagoon started off with a bang, and ended with a blast. I can’t wait for the next season.

B plus? Oh well, your site, your review. Personally, I give it an A, mainly for the surprisingly great character development, the moments of laugh-out-humor, and of course the action scenes.

I'm so happy it's getting a third season.
