Bleach: Memories in the Rain - Anime Review

Synopsis:
Kurosaki Ichigo has a special day in which he doesn't go to school. It is the aniversary of the death of his mother, one of the most tragic events in his life. Ichigo is now a Shinigami substitute, but his experiences as such have not prepared him for the surprise that awaits him this day: the discovery of the murderer's identity. Now the fight is personal. Will the hollow that claimed his mother's life also put an end to his?
Review:
This was a very insightfull episode. It gave clues to why Ichigo is how he is, why he doesn't have mother, and how the personality of his sisters developed. Even though some of it isn't said, you can tell by the reactions of how different people act. Ichigo always has a scowl on his face, and the fact that he was the death of his mother may be the reason. It is a memory that has haunted and plauged him through the years, and he allows Rukia to know about. This not only strengthens Rukia's and Ichigo's relationship, but gives Rukia a better understanding of Ichigo and she is able to connect with him better. I personally really liked this. And not only because of the fact that it was insightful, but I also really liked the action in it. I also liked the fact that it gave Ichigo new resolve to keep on beeing a soulreeper, and to keep getting stronger.
Grade - B (plus) - Worth the time.
