Boys Be's Itabashi, Love Song's Nishi Launch New Manga - Anime News
Keiko Nishi (Love Song, Kame no Naku Koe) will start a new manga called Fuwafuwa Police - Hirugaya-Eki-Mae Koban Shimatsuki (Fuwafuwa Police: Chronicles of the Police Box in Front of Hirugaya Station) in the April issue on Saturday. The series will follow an odd couple of female police officers as they solve cases "with love and justice." In the same issue, a relatively new creator named Murako Kinuta will launch a manga called Sansukumi.
Machiko Kyo will launch a manga called Girls Bijutsu (Girls' Arts) about the experience of getting into an arts college in the May issue next month. Kyo's autobiographical Sennen Gaho was among the manga recommended by the jury of 2007's 11th Japan Media Arts Festival Awards, and Kyo was among the first manga creators to launch a manga simultaneously in a print magazine and online via a Creative Commons license with last year's Mikako-san manga. Akiko Hatsu (Devil in the Water, Mourning of Autumn Rain), Yoko Nemu, and Sakae Kusama will each start an unnamed manga title in the July issue in May.
