Descendants of Darkness Manga Returns After 8 Years - Anime News
Manga creator Yoko Matsushita is publishing the 12th volume of her Descendants of Darkness supernatural manga on January 19 — more than eight years after the previous volume shipped. The volume will contain six chapters which were serialized in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine in 2000 and 2001, although they have been considerably revised and retouched. To mark the occasion, this year's fifth issue of Hana to Yume magazine will bundle an alternate book cover, illustrated by Matsushita, on February 5. Matsushita has yet to announce when she will resume the manga's serialization.
Viz Media published the 11th volume of the manga in North America in 2006. J.C. Staff animated a 13-episode television series from 2000 to 2001, and Central Park Media released the anime in North America. The anime has since run on America's Sci Fi Channel.
