Funimation Adds Animated Guardians of Luna Project (Updated) - Anime News
Michael Reaves (Batman: The Animated Series, Gargoyles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mighty Orbots) is supervising the scripts, and Cindy H. Yamauchi (Soten Koro; animation director on Black Lagoon, Gungrave) is designing the characters for the APPP anime studio (Robot Carnival, Shin Kyuseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Toki-den). Production on the film is expected to begin in 2010, and a manga is also planned. The project's website is at www.guardiansofluna.com.
Cybergraphix Animation first revealed the project as a planned 26-episode series with a slightly different staff lineup in 2005.

Update 2: Funimation tells ANN that the Guardians of Luna project is separate from its new co-production initiative that is headed by Director of Original Entertainment Chris Moujaes.
