Synopsis:

The search for the Shikon Shards continues, as Inuyasha and company travel to collect all the pieces scattered across Sengoku Jidai Japan on that day when Kagome broke it by accident. Incidentally, one piece landed with a particular demon, the son of Hyouga, sealed into the human world by Inuyasha's father. Now he seeks to use Inuyasha's sword, the Tetsusaiga to break the seal and allow him to inherit his father's power to take over the world...

Review:

This movie borders my line of love and hate. It's slightly above hate but I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
When Kagome splits the jewel with her arrow, the pieces fly all over Japan. One of them flies all the way to a demon on a different continent and frees him from paralyzation (I'm not sure if that's a word). Not only is that excuse of a plot half-assed, I'm not sure if it's even possible. All of the jewels scatter for miles but one of them flying for hundreds of miles? At least it makes more sense than landing in the border between this life and the next.

Other than that, the rest of the story is just as bad when it comes to everything else. I'm rather surprised that the son of Hyoga does not come after the jewel shards. One of them is strong enough to revive him. If he collected all of them, he could become more powerful than ever and when combining them with the inherited power of his father, he could have become a god. But what does he want? He just wants the tetsusaiga to unlock some power. An even greater power was hiding under his nose the entire time and he ignored it.
Inuyasha and Kagome bonded in this movie so it wasn't a total waste. Of course Kikyou was made out to be the bad guy in this movie. She got very little screen time and all she did was seal Kagome in her own world. Sealing her was a test of both Kagome's spiritual power and her devotion to Inuyasha. That was a brilliant scene. I just wish Kikyou bonded more with Inuyasha. I don't remember whether or not he knew that Kikyou was even in this movie.
The romance factor was beautifully portrayed in this anime and as expected the plot was lazy and choppy.

Grade: C - Its a good movie since its the first attempt at making a full length movie
