Kanokon TV Anime Listed by Media Blasters (Update 3) - Anime News
The North American anime distributor Media Blasters lists a "AnimeWorks Kanokon - The Girl Who Cried Fox: : Sexy Like a Fox Vol. 1, Eps. 1-4" release among its April solicitations. The 2008 Kanokon television anime series adapted Katsumi Nishino and Koin's romantic comedy light novels about an ordinary boy with two female schoolmates — who happen to be fox and wolf deities.
The North American publisher Seven Seas Entertainment had announced in September of 2006 that it would be translating the original light novel series into English, but it has since stopped those plans.
A two-episode video sequel called Kanokon ~Manatsu no Daishanikusai~ was released in Japan last year. As he did on the television series, Atsushi Ootsuki directed the animators at Xebec on the video project. Series script supervisor Masashi Suzuki, character designer and animation director Akio Takami, and the cast led by Mamiko Noto, Ayako Kawasumi, and Miyu Takeuchi also worked on both anime projects.
Update: More background informationa added.
Update 2: Media Blasters CEO John Sirabella has confirmed on Saturday in the AnimeOnDVD forums that his company is reissuing the Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan anime series with an English dub. His company had previously released this anime with only English subtitles. According to Sirabella, the Loveless anime series may be next in line for an English dubbing, but "the issue right now is that it is doing way too well at [the Best Buy retail chain] in the [Slimpack repackaging] so we will wait." The CEO says that Media Blasters will release less boys-love material and more "bigger stuff like [Ikki Tousen] and [Blade of the Immortal]."
Update 3: According to Right Stuf, Kanokon will also have an English dub.
