Sequel to Kaleido Star TV series. Layla has an important role in the movie industry. However, she reflects back on her experience at Kaleido Stage since her role is named the "Phoenix". She feels as if something is missing. And whatever it is, it's interfering with her performance as an actor. Unless she finds it, she can't fully complete her role. She then goes on her bicycle to find what it is she's missing.

Review:

This movie is purposely made to tell you tales behind the strong, determine, woman with miracles, possess great deal of toughness, and never know when to give up. Yes, I'm referring to Layla Hamilton and not Sora Haegino.

Sincerely I'm not really into Layla and was more like Sora's fan. Anyways, this movie was meant to tell the past that what made Layla today in Kaleido Star.

Although this movie is not a stand alone watch and it should only be view after a person finished the TV series, I would say that this movie was really one of the few movies that I really enjoy to the fullest.

Like the usual Kaleido Star, the animation quality is superb, the characters were the same and cute as always, the music section were well done, and everything were almost the same with the old TV series.

It is not a wonder if a person thought that this Movie is actually part of the TV series since it doesn't looks like a movie at all. (Accept for the fact it is 50 minutes long)

Like I say, the movie is all about Layla and her past, how she revive as the Phoenix which have perish after her last performance with Sora in the previous TV series, and of course there were some amazing scene here as well. (The unexpected scene from a beautiful face suddenly crowded with rain clouds.)

The other characters were neglected and the entire 50 minute long movie actually talks about Layla. There were not much of stage performances either.

This movie isn?t a master piece this I admit, but it still gives me the thrill and heart warming feeling I've experience in Kaleido Star TV series.

I know this feeling of satisfaction and it is really pleasant. The other side of Layla that is never revealed in the series was finally exposed in the movie. Personally wise, I felt that this movie is a must watch for all Kaleido Star Fan and it really worth every penny I can ever offer.

I WOULD NOT recommend this series to someone who never watches the TV series since it'll prove pointless anyways and he/she would not enjoy it to the fullest. However as a great fan of Kaleido Star, this is a must watch movie at any cost!

Grade - B - Beautiful, and a well produced OVA.
