In a separate development, an auction for a film strip with the Evangelion character Asuka ended on Thursday at 113,201 yen (about US$1,252). Each copy of the Blu-ray Disc/DVD release of the Evangelion:2.22 You Can (Not) Advance (Evangelion Shin Gekijoban: Ha) film includes a bonus film strip from the actual film reels used in the theatrical release last year. There are more than 1,400 active auctions for the bonus Evangelion:2.22 film strips on the Yahoo! Auctions website, even though the Blu-ray/DVD release just officially shipped on Wednesday.
