Synopsis: Flash Back 2012 is Minmei's farewell concert. Featuring some of her best songs, the music is performed over various scenes and events taken from Macross TV as well as Macross "Do You Remember Love". Also included is a newly animated closing sequence showing the launch of Misa's colony vessel, the Megaroad-01, into space.

Anime Review:


From the opening scene with Minmei counting 1,2,3 you know that this is something very special.

This music video, you could say contains about 7 songs in which focuses on a number of characters form the Macross tv series. It also contains images and scenes taken from the Macroos "Do You Remember Love" movie.


Being a compilation of Minmei's best songs, the songs in this music video are pure class. They are all very well produced, and each songs has a distant meaning and message to the viewer.

The animation for this prodution is amazing for its time. Some of the 3d computer graphics and live action shots fit so perfectly in this music video, in which other producers and directors could learn from.

The highlight of this music video would have to be Minmei's farewell concert. Having watched it, some of the scenes reminded be of some of the scenes that were developed for the next Macross Production, for Sharon Apple's concert in the Macross Plus OVA. This last music song is the highlight of the show, and is up there with some of the best concert scenes I have scene.

What make this production so special, is that it flows together so well, telling some of the story of the Macross saga, in which at the same time is highly entertaining to listen to, and watch.




Grade A(plus) - This show is a timeless classic, and this music video is up there with this show as well. Extremely Highly Recommended.
