U.S.'s Toonami Jetstream Posts New Zatch Bell Episode - Anime News
Streaming service continues where American television run ended.
On Friday, Cartoon Network's Toonami Jetstream online video service added an episode of the Zatch Bell (Konjiki no Gash Bell!!) anime series that has yet to run on American television. In January of 2007, the Toonami programming block removed Toei Animation's adaptation of Makoto Raiku's manga from its American television lineup after episode 77; no new episodes have run in America since, although Canada's YTV network has been running later episodes. Toonami Jetstream's new episode is the 78th one: "I Won't Go Back! Laila's Dark Solitude."
Cartoon Network acquired rights to 52 episodes of Zatch Bell in 2005. There is currently no indication of Zatch Bell returning to Toonami's Saturday-night television lineup.
