Anime Review:
I have not heared any news about this OVA title, as OVA productions these days are a rareaity, however this show is on par with the anime title Voices of A Distant Star. Words can only describe my fascination with this OVA. The title was released by an independent studio. I'm not keen on sci-fi titles as there are either very good or very bad, and in this case I am glad I not a punt. This show is very, very Good. I like to be proven wrong.
The storyline is quite intriguing, it is set in the future in which mankind has evacuated from the Earth and people live on the moon. However, reality isn’t what it seems. Maybe there is hope of returning to the lush paradise of Earth after all.
The art for this show is fantastic and is very creativity. The smooth art and background is cleanly drawn, in which makes this presentation realistically animated. The character designs take some getting used to, but grew on me as the production went on.
As a fan of piano music is paino score, is very soothing, and fits in well with style and pace of the show. The insert song is lovely. “Aoi Tamago” (by little moa) is an angelic song, almost literally. The lyrics are filled with vivid imagery, and the song itself is perfect for the ethereal mood.
The thing what makes this OVA so good, is that the ending is left open for interpretation, but it’s simultaneously filled with hope.
Notice I’m being extremely vague in this entry - I don’t want to spoil the story for anyone, and as it’s a short watch, I recommend everyone to watch it at least once. Heck, I’d even watch it more than once. This OVA has a tremendously high replay value. I love.
From a content point of view, it is great. Humans destroyed earth's nature in the past and later created a place to live to the moon.
Ura works in the bureau of record excavation and try restore old records. Before there were much more workers, but most of them didn't want to remember sad past anymore and quit. Ura is different, he is almost obsessed to search archives.
One day Ura find something strange, video where woman read old regular book and sing. He get sudden urge to go and see earth with own eyes from the surface of moon. Instead of rusted earth like it was in past, Ura sees blue as sign that planet have recovered from the influence of humans.
Grade: A (plus) - I recommend everyone to watch it at least once. This OVA feels so real. See this..
