Takashi Yanase Creates Public Safety Anime - Anime News

Takashi Yanase, creator of the perennially popular children’s manga and anime series Anpanman, has co-created a new 20 minute long public service anime titled “Shinjuku Shin-chan Patrol: Warui Otona ni Ki o Tsukete” (Shinjuku Shin-chan Patrol: Be Careful of Bad Adults). The short feature depicts costumed hero Shinjuku Shin-chan teaching children what to do “when a person driving a car calls out to you,” “when you’re riding an elevator alone,” “when you return home alone and no one’s home,” and “when someone you don’t know calls on the phone.”

The Tokyo MX television network will broadcast the special on August 24th. Beginning on the 26 the special will be available for loan on VHS & DVD from the Shinjuku information center, central library, and Yotsuya ward library, The video will also be hosted on the Shinjuku ward official homepage.
