Trigun Film, Kacho no Koi, Gintama Promos Streamed (Updated) - Anime News

The official website for the Trigun: Badlands Rumble film has begun streaming a full 97-second trailer on Thursday. Like the television anime series that came before it, the anime studio MADHOUSE is basing the film on Yasuhiro Nightow's popular Trigun manga. Director Satoshi Nishimura, character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu, mechanical designer Noriyuki Jinguji, and musical composer Tsuneo Imahori return to the franchise after having worked on the television series. Nightow and Nishimura conceived of the story concepts which Yasuko Kobayashi (Claymore, Shakugan no Shana, Witchblade anime) turned into a shooting script. Masaya Onosaka, Sho Hayami, Hiromi Tsuru, and Satsuki Yukino are reprising their roles of Vash the Stampede, Nicolas D. Wolfwood, Meryl Stryfe, and Milly Thompson, respectively. Nishimura and Yoshimatsu will present the world premiere of the film at Sakura-Con in April, three weeks before the Japanese opening.

The Nico Nico Douga website began streaming the 103-second preview for Liverpool's original Flash anime DVD of Kyushu Danji's Kacho no Koi boys-love gag manga on February 5. The story centers on a manager named Kazuhiko Odakara who has spent all 33 years of his life without a girlfriend. An encounter with a new employee named Harada makes Odakara realize that he is gay. Pipya (Pippuya) is directing off a script written by Susumu Mochizuki. Panda Factory (Fujoshi no Hinkaku) is producing the 30-minute DVD in association with Jolly Roger and Dax Production. Ryotaro Okiayu, Hideo Ishikawa, Kenji Nojima, and Hiroshi Kamiya lend their voices for the soundtrack. Liverpool (Fujoshi no Hinkaku) will ship the DVD in Japan on March 26.

Section23 Films and Sentai Filmworks have posted their 90-second English-subtitled trailer for the Gintama television anime series, as well as the trailers for several other projects. Sentai will ship the first collection of the series on April 27. ANN is also streaming the episodes of Gintama through Crunchyroll.
